2012 Resolutions

In spite of my qualms about setting specific goals this new year, I cannot get resolutions off my mind. I think it's the possibility—the glimmer of hope however unrealistic it may be—that this could be the year that I figure it all out. Of course, I won't figure it all out, but I do hope that by the end of this year, I'll be considerably closer to being the woman I am trying to become.

At the beginning of most years, I start a new journal. Those blank pages are my fresh slate, which by the end of the year will thoroughly document any progress (or lack thereof!) that I manage to make. Today, while a babysitter watched my little rugrats for a couple of hours, I sat on a blanket at a park and brainstormed resolutions in my journal, whittling it down to a final few. Want to see which ones made the cut? (Can you handle the drama??) In the exact words I penned in my journal earlier today...

Deepen my interactions with the Spirit.
Pray. Read. Be grateful.
This is the foremost thing I can do to improve my life.
--
Launch Let Why Lead and design a blog book for someone else.
--
Keep editing and combining our family video clips
--
Watch the money like a hawk.
This is the goal I kinda hate. Which I suppose is why it has to be a goal in the first place.
--
Enjoy the boys; create memories

Manageable, right? I hope so! If I'm really good, I'll report on them as the year goes on. :) Want to do the same? Feel free to link up your resolutions in the comments. I'd love to see what you're hoping for this year.
