Your "Worst Day"

The other day while our kids were running wild at a fantastic toddler playplace, one of my girlfriends mentioned that Sunday is her "worst day" every week. We all knew what she was talking about—that day of the week when you consistently feel run down.

My friend didn't even have to describe what she meant before each of us chimed in with our "worst day." One said Sunday; two said Saturday. I said, without a doubt, Friday.

Friday night my husband comes home relieved to have finished a long week. I'm relieved too, but for some reason, my relief manifests itself as snappy. What a joy for my husband! (I'm thinking that the night he interrupted my episode of Downtown Abbey must have been a Friday. I knew there had to be an explanation!)

Today, though, I will hopefully sidestep my "worst day," because we're headed to Tahoe for the weekend to reintroduce our boys to SNOW! I've packed some Hot Tamales for the three-hour drive, and I am ready for some quality conversation with my husband (and two munchkins) on the way up.

Clearly, my eldest was a fan last time he rendezvoused with the white stuff. Pictured here with my beautiful sister.

I would venture a guess that most moms' worst day comes toward the end of the week. Do you have a worst day? Any plans to help you avoid it this week?

I've got some fun things in the works for next week, so I'll meet you back here then. Deal? Thanks for reading.

  3. How fun for you!! You could always come here for the snow- though it's a little farther than three hours! :0)
My worst day is probably Saturday, but Sunday is the best so I don't feel bad for too long!

  4. Worst day....probably Monday. I hate sending Lincoln back to work and I am stuck with all the laundry and housework that didn't get done over the weekend. Yup, Monday's are always cursed for me. Hope you guys have fun in Tahoe!

  5. Hey, this is Meg from A Barefoot Day and I can't find your email to respond. (Please leave it next time if you're ok with that.) Anyways, I really appreciate your comment on Burl turning two. I'm glad that you are loving that age as well. Thanks for the encouragement!!!

  6. Snow! Yay, Erica! We just got about four inches in our back yard this weekend. Bummer you had to drive to get your fill. :)
